WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DO YOU DO?
We focus on a personalized approach to training that varies depending on what your goals are. We focus on solid running mechanics that are both mental and physical to improve our runners. In addition we create a running environment that is designed to get the best out of each runner during workouts.
WHEN / WHERE DO YOU TRAIN?
Our training usually revolves around a track workout on Tuesdays, tempo road work on Thursdays and long runs on Saturdays. Group work outs are usually at 5:30 AM during the week with 7AM runs on Saturdays, but may begin earlier depending on mileage.
Training locations vary depending on the activity. A weekly update is provided via email concerning location and exact details.
Other options are available if you can't make the workouts and need to schedule alternative workout times, but running with the group provides some benefits that are hard to beat!
WHAT TYPE OF RUNNERS ARE IN THE GROUP?
We work with anyone ranging from couch to 5k all the way to elite distance runners. Workouts are modified as needed and one one coaching makes sure no one is left behind. Recently I had one runner complete their first half marathon, while at the same time/same race another runner (Tiffany Marley) went to win the 2016 Austin Half Marathon.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
You have a several options if you are interested in checking out Apex Running. You can email Coach George directly at , you can use the contact page, or finally you can just show up to a Tuesday workout. Tuesday workouts are always at Milburn Pool Park at 5:30AM. You are welcome to come try out the group for a week to make sure this is the right fit without any obligation. Monthly training dues are $40 due at the beginning of each month if you decide to join.
